Luke and Owen

Last night Luke thought Owen should sleep in his bed. So I let Owen lay with him for a few minutes, Luke read to him, and then cuddled with him and didn't like that I was taking pictures with the flash and disturbing Owen. So he shielded his eyes. It was very cute, the only jealousy Luke has shown is when I am holding Owen and he wants to hold Owen, he is happy to share me with Owen, but he doesn't want to share Owen with anybody.

Owen with Beau, Anna, and Luke

Just some pictures of Beau, Anna, and Luke checking out their baby brother and a few of Daddy spending some time loving on him. Everyone was up by 6:30 and Ben was out the door with kisses from all. Unfortunately severe flooding on the reservation is keeping Ben from staying home with us the next few days, but we will manage. I have free hands now to type this thanks to big sister. Owen couldn't possibly more loved. The older three will watch a movie soon while I doze and we will take the day as it comes. Owen has his days and nights a little confused but I he is a very mild crier and he only lets out a little roar to let me know he needs to burp or a diaper change. If he is hungry, he just starts rooting and rarely lets out more than a small mew. I calling him roaring Owen or my little cub because he kind of does sound like a little lion cub, and it goes along with Ben always calling his boys his "man cubs". He just went to sleep on Anna's lap so I think it is time for a shower for me and then a little nap. I have lots more pictures from last night and this morning and will try to post throughout the day, but never know what the next hour will bring. I feel very good and am so thankful for how smoothly everything went. We were greatly blessed with a wonderful doctor and great nurses who really knew what they were doing.

Look What Anna Did!!!

Anna practiced today...she is getting really close to riding a two-wheeler without help. She has trouble getting started and she seems to lean to the right a little, but she is almost there. Ben spent about half an hour with her after rebuilding the swingset. She is doing a great job and loves riding bike. The first picture is the her new big bike, her old one is a little too small but this one is still a little work to handle. She is doing great though and we are so proud of her just for trying.

Mudding

We mudded Beau's bedroom downstairs today. In just two weeks, Beau's room has been built and sheetrocked and mudded. We are hoping to have it ready for company coming to see the new baby. Beau won't move in until sometime in the next year, when he is ready. We are hoping to get it painted by the end of the month. The kids were really helpful mudding, it reminded me of a few years ago when we had another little helper mudding. She wasn't so great then, but they really did a pretty good job covering up the screw holes this time. The top pictures are from today's mudding, and the bottom are from Feb. 2006. Hard to believe she was that little especially with the next post about what else she did today.

Beau's Baseball

Beau has enjoyed baseball this year. He has a few games left and he has improved every time. A few pictures of him batting, he has improved from game to game.

This is how we find Beau many times, looking at the dirt or kicking the dirt, but he does pay attention sometimes and has made some good plays.
Beau at third base, he likes first base and pitcher the best. They see the most action.
I love watching him as catcher, he just looks cute in all the gear. we won't mention how often he doesn't catch the ball, but his throws back to the pitcher are getting more accurate.
