Building Puppies and Leopards

Ben and I wanted to do something with Ruby to remember her time here and celebrate her third birthday so we took the three littles to build a bear while Kara took the bigs to a movie. Ruby picked a puppy she named Sofi and Owen picked a leopard he named Spot. They both seemed to really enjoy even after a long day at the museum and a late night at the laser light show. Ruby gave me lots of hugs and "I love you'd" as I tucked her in bed tonight. When you live so far from family you soak up those words for all they're   worth and linger a little longer tucking her in. She was so tired she was almost asleep before I got downstairs. Happy birthday Ruby-Dooby-Doo! We love you!

Laser Light Show

We went to Stone Mountain for the laser light show last night. Owen and Ruby loved dancing before the show and we all enjoyed a great evening.

A Day at the Zoo

In my house it is always a zoo, but today we visited the real thing. We watched an elephant eat, counted heads many times, saw otters swimming, watched a rattlesnake watch us and some goober twins picked a gorilla's nose. It was a fun exhausting day.

Fun With Ruby

Ruby and Auntie Kara and Curtis are visiting. We had a wonderful day of doing nothing but enjoying each others company. We cuddled Curtis, Ruby and Owen played sometimes great and sometimes not so great. Naps were taken, I got to cuddle Ruby to sleep, stories were told and memories were made.

Spelunking

The kids loved the cave tour they went on, they went through small passage ways even army crawling through the Wormhole. They saw a lot more than we did in our family tour the day before. They even saw a bat.

Hiking with the Kids

While Ben worked at Mammoth Cave the kids and I explored. We had a great time. Owen also rode his first bus on the way to the cave tour. We were only there one night but we fit in a lot of walking and exploring. The kids did great hiking, even Owen walked most of the trails.
